Adult assessment · New South Wales
A full assessment, and a written answer either way.
Adult ADHD assessment at Rosedale is two appointments with Dr Jaspreet Saini, and it is open now.
It begins with a free pre-intake questionnaire, so you can confirm this is the right pathway before you commit to anything.
Your first appointment happens in person at West Pennant Hills. The second is yours to choose: come back in, or take it by video or phone from wherever you are. One trip to us, and the rest fits around you.
Continuing ADHD care and adult assessment are both open now.- GP led, RACGP accredited

1 / 4What the assessment involves
Two appointments. Here is what is in them.
Here it is in full, before you book.
Free, and it comes first.
It confirms this pathway is right for you before you pay for anything.
A full hour on your history.
School, work, relationships, the parts that went well and the parts that were harder. We use structured assessment tools aligned to DSM-5 criteria.
- Your account, in your own words, with time to tell it properly
- Structured, internationally recognised assessment tools
- What else might explain things, which matters just as much
Working time, not waiting time.
You complete standardised self report and informant questionnaires, and an objective attention test. You also provide school, medical or previous assessment records where you have them.
Where it is possible, we ask for input from someone who knew you as a child. Adult ADHD is diagnosed partly on evidence that things were present before age twelve, and an account from someone who was there often makes the picture clear.
Where you find out.
We go through the findings with you and talk about what happens next. You leave knowing where you stand and what your options are, written down.
This one is yours to choose. Come back to West Pennant Hills if you would rather hear it in the room, or take it by video or by phone at home. A Medicare rebate applies whichever you pick, because your first appointment was in person.
- The findings explained to you properly, with time to ask questions
- What it means day to day, at work and at home
- A written management plan, and where appropriate your care begins
Either way, you get an answer
Every patient receives a complete assessment and a written outcome, whether or not ADHD is diagnosed. What follows is a clinical decision made with you, once you know where you stand.

Two things can be true at once.
Attention, memory, sleep and emotional regulation often change during perimenopause. The picture can look very like ADHD. It can also sit alongside ADHD that was masked for thirty years.
Working out which it is, or whether it is both, takes ADHD care and menopause care together. At Rosedale they sit in the same practice, on the same patient record, with dietetic support in the same building. One assessment can consider both.
Why it works the way it does
Every appointment gets its full time.
New South Wales is expanding what general practice can do in ADHD care, in stages, and for GPs who complete the required training and hold the relevant authority. Dr Saini holds it.
Working the way we do keeps each appointment at the length described above, and keeps things moving at a pace we can hold. It means that when you come in, you get the appointment described above in full.
If you were diagnosed years ago
Diagnosed years ago and it all paused?
Then the continuation page is probably the one you want, and that is good news, because care that already exists can be picked up now, in days, at a fraction of the cost.
A lot of people find they can carry on from where they left off.

Every fee, published here.
| Assessment | Format | Fee |

| Child and adolescent assessment, ages 6 to 17 | Psychologist led, West Pennant Hills | $1,476.13 |
The adult fee covers both appointments and the written outcome, and it is the total you pay at checkout including the HotDoc booking fee. Payment is made in full when Visit 1 is confirmed.

About Medicare
Your first appointment happens in person at West Pennant Hills, so the usual rebate applies, and that visit establishes your relationship with this practice. Your second appointment attracts a rebate whichever format you choose. Continuing care afterwards runs by telehealth with a rebate too. All of it is published here so you have it before you book.
